Dear
Wickertree Members,
Time
to turn on the air conditioning! Spring is well on its
way and the outside courts are up ready for play. We are
looking forward to another eventful summer this year.
Our USTA & GCTA teams are filled up, ready to begin practice
the week of May 19th. Our junior programs will change
to their summer schedules beginning the week of June 9th.
We will continue to run our full schedule of tournaments
throughout the summer months. We have parties planned
as well. Looking forward to seeing you all on the courts
this summer!

Columbus
Indoor
Boys
12 & 14 Level 3 National Event
|
|
|
Wickertree
will be hosting its Columbus Indoor Tournament this month.
The Boys 12's & 14's will be coming to play here. Club
activities will be suspended on Saturday, May 10th and
Sunday, May 11th. The finals will be played on Monday,
May 12th. The fitness center will be open for member use.
If you have kids that play tennis, this would be a great
opportunity to watch some of the best junior boys in the
nation play.

in our indoor season this past year by having an appreciation
week. For the week of May 5-9th, we will be providing
food and drinks for everyone to enjoy. We want to let

Summer 2008
Junior
Team Tennis

Join
us for a fun, competitive atmosphere where you can develop
your individual and team tennis skills. Co-ed matches
will begin mid June and run through July. There will be
four singles spots and two doubles teams. The entire match
lasts only two hours. Registration forms are due by May
20th. Contact CJ Simmons or Susan Storrer if you are interested.

Summer
Camp
Sign
Up While You Can!

It's
time to consider registering your child in our exciting
Summer Camp! The camp runs from June 9th- August 8th.
However, there will be no summer camp June 30th-July 4th.
There are 8-weekly sessions that run Monday-Friday from
9am-12pm. Each session will be a full week of stroke-specific
fed ball drills, fed ball games, relay activities and
much, much more! Snacks and drinks will be provided everyday.
The cost for a full week is $149.99 or single day sessions
are $40 per day. Make sure you take advantage of our multiple
children discount! All levels are welcome. If you are
interested, contact Wickertree Tennis Club at 882-5724.

Tournament
Results

Congrats
to three of our juniors who won tournaments this past
weekend. Anna and Alle Sanford won the girls 12's and
10's respectively at the Racquet Club tournament. In addition,
new comer Cameron Raglin won his first tournament capturing
the Boys 12's division. Keep working hard gang. All your
hard work is really paying off. Dream big and train hard!

Ladies
GCTA/USTA
Kickoff
Challenge

Kristin,
Stacey, and Doug will be hosting a kickoff party for our
summer GCTA and USTA ladies teams on Saturday, May 17th
from 6:30-9pm. We are looking for teams of 4 players with
the same skill level. There will be two 4-player teams
of each skill level (2.5-4.5) competing against each other.
We are only accepting the first 10 teams to register.
All four team members can play for $100 ($25 person).
Sign up fast! Prizes will be given out to the winners
of each skill level. Bring your favorite dish to share
and Wickertree will provide the drinks. Babysitting will
be available upon request. If you have any questions please

Attention
all members! This is a reminder that Wickertree has signed
a two year contract with the Ohio High School Athletic
Association to be the rain sight for the Girls and Boys
High School State Tennis Championships. If it rains on
Friday, May 30th or Saturday, May 31st, all indoor courts
are rescheduled for the following week. If the weather
is nice, everything is as scheduled. Thank you for your
support!
